St Albans Upholstery School is an outstanding training centre for the Association of Master Upholsterers and Soft Furnishers. Our team of expert tutors provide both professional training for those seeking a career in upholstery and leisure classes for all abilities.
Established in 2006 by Wendy Shorter MBE, we have a spacious and well-equipped workshop in beautiful surroundings at Coursers Farm, Colney Health, just outside St Albans. Whether you want skills to start a small business, or work on your own projects as a hobby, you will find the help you need with us.
We also work closely with our sister company on the same site, the St Albans Upholstery Studio, a commercial workshop and upholstery collective. Our students have the added benefit of work experience with SAUStudio and the opportunity to join the collective.
We are very proud of the successes of our alumni and our Directory lists many of those who have gone on to work professionally in the trade.
